Definition
  •  An account between the depositor (account holder) and also the bank (trustee) for the safe keeping purposes of the goods (money).

  • A form of investment account. This is a kind of partnership between customer and bank. Which the customer is called as “Rab-ul-Maal” (wealth/property owner) deposits his money into the bank.
  • Then, the bank is called as “Mudarib” (the fund manager/entrepreneur) that will subsequently use the money for the investment purpose.
